so i got the hobie16 from the other thread i was asking about. the guy showed me how to rig it, but i wanted to practice some at home before taking it out to the beach. i just wanted to make sure that rigging it on the trailer won't hurt the cat (obviously doing with no wind). just wanted to make sure i wasn't going to damage the hulls doing this before i tried..... thanks in advance. |

Most people rig the boat on the trailer. One or two people standing on the trampoline while the boat is on the trailer is not going to hurt it. |

With 2 pieces of 10` conduit and a screw about 10" from the top will make a crutch that will hold the mast up a bit to aid in solo stepping. See the WWW for some pics. If the wind is lite 6 or less ill put up the main and jib. Just point her on the trailer into the wind. OH i always leave it tied to the trailer till its a few feet from the water |

thanks. this is my first boat and i don't want to damage it. can't go sailing for a few days until i get the registration done, but i want to play with it now lol >.> need to fix the gel coat in 2 spots, but other than that it's in good shape. took a whiel to find a used boat with no soft spots, but at least this way i have less to repair before i go sailing heh. |
