Going to Harken 6:1. Any suggestions on what brand to use as mainsheet? What length? Where to buy online? Thanks for any help.

Hello BWilliams.

I have been looking at 9.5mm Salsa or 9mm Robline. Google will bring up multiple sources once you know your brand and size.

I have used what I believe to be Robline on another boat, but it had Seaway 5:1. Whatever it was it was nice.

I would also appreciate any thoughts from folks who have used either of these with a Harken 2640/194 6:1 setup.

Best,

Chuck

Oh, for length, Hobie specs out 44' of 3/8" for the Harken 2640/194.

The 9mm FSE is a bit big for a 16 unless you like it fat. 8mm is better. Either the racing sheet or the pro if you like a firmer line. Check Hobie catalog. 38 feet is what many racers buy.
