The Main sheet`s blocks are not smooth and loose. Many times I have to push the sail to make it pull the blocks appart. Disassembly ? Lube ? Normal ? |

Clean? Yes, fresh water is a start. Lube? Yes, McLube one drop is good stuff, or 3-1 oil if you don't have 1drop. Disassemble? Maybe, not sure if you did that, will it all go back together nicely. Have you ever rebuilt blocks before? If so, then probably go for it. Are they Harken blocks or old Seaways? Try calling Harken or check their website for rebuild info, might be helpful. Good luck! |

What's the diameter of your sheet rope? Using too thick line will make the blocks sluggish. |

I use silicon spray and then spray and spin until the dirt is cleared. They should spin a bit freely when hand spun. BUT in certain low wind circumstances (and especially with thick line), I'll have to push the boom out. Just lots of purchase with that many blocks and that much rope. |
