Post subject: | Covering up soft spot repair holes |
I just finished doing the West Systems epoxy repair of some soft spots on my hulls. How did you guys hide the holes? I am kind of a neat freak so I like everything to look good. I tried gelcoat putty but when I sanded it flat, it just took it all off and I was back where I started. I'm looking for something other than re-gelcoating or painting. |

This was how I did it for some missing gel.. props to Jeremy from Surf City Racing for the advice. I am 100% happy with the outcome. That was an acurate video for your issue, but remember that every epoxy or polyester resin have different amounts of catalyst. BTW, if you've never seen what happends when there is a lot of catalyst with very smalls amounts of resin, do it. It'll be fun to see. Saludos desde Veracruz Greetings form Veracruz |
