I just laced up my new mesh tramp and find it real slippery compared to my original. Checked other boats at my fleet and found them all to be about the same. So what I'm looking for are recommendations for a good pair of sailing shoes that grip the mesh better than my bare feet or sperry topsiders. thanks |

I like the NRS Desperado shocks. They're for kayaking, made from neoprene and they have a thin sole on them that seems to be just right. They also mad it in a shoe that is the same design but has a thicker sole, I find that style a little harder to get under the foot strap in a hurry. http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=2348 That's my choice. |

I get good tramp grip from Teva Dozer's also including standing on the hulls while righting the boat. They're great for jet skiing, whitewater and just about any other water sport. The uppers are synthetic so they dry quickly and seem to last forever. Another feature is anti-microbial insole. I find knee pads are helpful for mesh tramps too. Tramp rash turns my knees to hamburger after a weekend of sailing. |

I like the West Marine "Aqua Socks" and the price is right (especially when they are on-sale). https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-marine--men-s-aqua-socks--P018865998?color=P018865998_BLACK_BLUE&recordNum=1 |

Thanks for all the replies and one question/clarification on the Ajax. I'm guessing you mean shake a bunch on and scrub the tramp with Ajax and water to take the finish off? ... |

How come there's no questions about Dr. Zog's Sex Wax? Which was the correct answer, by the way. Is there a prize http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Zog's_Sex_Wax |
