Got a personal speed record yesterday on Lake Coeur d Alene at 21.8 mph. (recorded by wrist mounted gps). I use mph as its a higher number than kts making is sound better.  Winds were 15+ with gusts around 25. It was a great afternoon of sailing for my first time out of the season. Water temp still quite cold in the low 50's. I love this boat!

If you want high numbers, use KM/h. 21.8 mph is 35.08 Km/h

Very nice. I used my GPS on the boat (H18) for the first time last weekend and got 15.8 MPH and we didn't even have any big wind, I have definitely gone faster. I did go 20 miles in 2.5 hrs per the GPS, not bad for just cruising around on the lake. I will use it again next time it is blowing. |

According to a reliable source, a Hobie 21 with a GPS recorded 32.2 mph during the Sausalito Regatta in San Francisco Bay on Saturday, June 11th.
