Can anyone tell me what year this sail is? I didn't see it on the sail color history chart so it makes me think that it is newer than 2006. Am I correct?

That color pattern was not standard after 2006, which means it could be a custom pattern and custom numbers can be ordered with custom sails. The best way to know the age of those sails is to ask the owner. If the sails are custom but numbered by Hobie from the year they were made then 30xxx would put the sail in the late 70's

Or maybe Matt Bounds missed a color pattern. . . .?

I just noticed. It is the same sail that is on the front cover of Catamaran Sailing from Start to Finish by Phil Berman. They must be pretty old then.

I had an '83 with the same sail pattern.

In the late 70's and early 80's Hobie had LOTS of sail patterns were available
for several years after the first year they were introduced.
Probably due to the availability of many different cloth colors.

I bought a brand new 16 in '81 with Carumba ('80 intro) sails, and a friend chose Tequila Sunrise ('77 intro) for his new boat.
