I'm almost one hundred percent sure that they're aluminum, but does anyone know for sure if the crossbars and tiller are aluminum or stainless steel? I'm asking because I'm upgrading the tiller conections to the H-20 style and my kit is short rivits.

Thanks,

Adam

yop, both parts are made from aluminum. The H20 conversion is a good idea. I converted my boat a few years ago to get play out of the many joints. One otherthing to consider is upgrading to a better blade. The thermoplasic stuff from the 70's and 80's is very elasic and deforms under load, resulting in interesting "self stearing" and stall situations. EPO's or even the stock composite blades (became standard equipment on Hobies in the 90's) are much better.
