I have a bunch of old Hobie stuff and I was wondering if anyone knew if any of it is worth anything. I have a bunch of old Hobie 16 Brochures, with all the different options trims, colors etc from the late 70's I think 1978 to be exact, very old Hobie cat sailing books that I also believe are from the 70's, as well as some old racing regulation rule book, performance manuals for the 16, all the original receipts, warranties from a Hobie 16 bought in 1978, and a lot of other old misc paper work. I also have a bunch of unopened spare parts from 1978, including a mast step, some misc. clevis pins, and a contraption to help guide the sail into its track when raising. There all unopened in great shape, some still have the price tags on ranging from around $1 to $11. I also have an old wooden Hobie sign, Its says Hobie Sportswear, a way of life, and has a pic of a hobie cat, and an old Hobie boat of the year banner from 1988. (picture attached) I also have one of those Dumas Hobie 14 model kit, but I've seen those on eBay for $30 or so.. I think its all some pretty cool stuff, and I'm just not sure what its worth, I know the parts have to be worth some money, new just as they were in the 70's, as for the sign/banner I have never seen any others like it. Let me know what you all think. Thanks. Note Not sure if I attached the pics right, I'm not sure how to do that. |
