The weather here in Coeur d Alene is unbeatable this time of year, only problem is little or no wind! I head down to the lake (here where my boat lives during the season) to check for wind at least twice a day. This morning I almost went out but without enough wind for a trap ride I decided against it. Maybe tomorrow!

We get at least 15mph daily. It does seem kinda unfair ! About 3 years ago, we had the same thing happen here! Beautiful days with no wind. At least we were able to figure out why !!!

Too bad you aren't closer to Port Kelly in Wallula Gap, WA where I sail. It blows most days (and to a sailor thats a good thing). Let me know if planning to head down this way.

Normally, a picture is worth a thousand words, but looking at the picture from Fastcat, I can add a few more words on top of of the thousand.

I'm jealous, well more envious. Jealous would mean I deserve it and he doesn't. But there is enough water for more than one cat, so I'm envious.

Speedawg - I go to the Gap quite often. From the current forecast it looks like I will be there both days this weekend (suppose to blow 14 - 17 knots). I usually sail solo in winds up to 25 knots then put on a passanger (crew) for up to 35 knots, anything above that I leave to the kiters and windsurfers. That being said, it be great to take you out, even better if you brought your boat. Let me know when you are heading to Lewiston and hopefully you can head down for a weekend of sailing. Along with the H17Sport we also have a Weta 14 trimaran (wife's boat). It is great fun and can handle big wind (see video, note the windsurfers). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AIisNuG7CI
