Post subject:  Awesome Irene wind in Brevard Co.

Got out in some of the Irene generated wind today... 25 gusting to 30 on the ICW. Before a jib traveler seperated half off the spar, a main block split in two, and the boom seperated from the mast, we clocked 22.3mph(19kts). It was an amazing day despite the breakages. Had trouble tacking with all that wind.

Nice video Maximus. You were movin'. Where do you launch from? I launch from Pineda and will be out this weekend lookin' for some wind.

I launch from the Jones st ramp in Mims where the mims yacht club is located. If you've ever been there you know thats a joke in that they could easily have filmed much of the movie Deliverance from that spot. :-)
