i have an old boat that i got for next to nothing and am not sure how old it is and am wondering if the serial number will help also if the sail number is related to the hull number and can help in identifing how old it is the sail number is in the 27,000 range thanks |

Check the FAQ's Sail numbers and hull numbers have nothing to do with each other. A sail number in the 27,000 range is from about 1977. |

Each pontoon should have a serial number on the transom. It is very possible that it has been covered over if the boat has had work done. For more complete info - http://www.hobiecat.com/support/warranty/sailserial.html |
