This is very similar to all my experiences with righting. If the wind is blowing and it doesn't turtle, there is usually no problems. The very first time I went over, it took me a long time to get back upright. That was mostly because I couldn't remember the procedure. Especially the part about getting the bows into the wind. Since then I have been over many times and it has been no problems. I weigh 200 lbs and am almost always by myself. I have the Hawaiian system on my boat and it works great. No bag or pole. The last time I went over, it was because the wind had come up to around 35 mph and it did no good to right it. It just kept going over again and again. But I had no trouble righting, just keeping it righted.
