Anybody know what extrusion is used on the H16 cross beams? I thought I heard it was the same as the H14 mast.

H16 crossbars have an integrated track built into them - they are not the same as H 14 masts... What are you looking to do? Convert something? The beams are also bent in a special bent hydraulic molding fixture - pretty difficult to create at home - post a question of what you'd like to try and we'll tell you if its something that's possible or not.

OK, more info.

The H16 is a great boat out of the box. I've sailed several over the years. But I'm looking to do more long-distance sailing and am considering a Tremolino-type conversion to a trimaran for better stability and to have a place to put gear. So I'm looking for either a spar extrusion or aluminum tubing with a similar section modulus. I know bending and fittings will be an issue. But, if I can get the same spar extrusion at least the beams will fit the corner castings and mast step. I was figuring on using the old-school traveler track that rivets onto the aft crossbeam. Hoping to find a local company locally to do the bends.

Ok, I admit, I'm pushing it.
