Post subject: | Main Traveler Replacement |
Hey, The bottom of my traveler car for the main broke out where the bearings are from just regular wear over time. When i sent away for a new traveler car i was returned just the bottom part(where the bearings are located). I've been trying to find a way to take out the pin that connects this part to the rest of the car so i can take off to old broken part, replace the new bearings on and put the pin back in. I just can't seem to get the old part off in a way that i can still use the car once the new part is on. I would think there must be a way to replace it or else it wouldn't really be sold separately, does anybody have any idea how to do this replacement? If not I'll just send it back for a fully new car. Thanks, Enzo |

The hinge pin is held in place at each end of the car by tabs of stainless. Open the stainless that is crimped over using a flat blade screw driver. Then drive the pin through and out of the car. Re-install the lower bearing part and pin. Re-crimp the stainless over the ends of the hinge pin. |
