I have looked around and not really found an answer. I was wondering if the 17,18 or wave rudder castings would fit on a 16? |

No. Gudgeon spacing is different and the rudder pin passes through the deck lip on the 16 but not on the others. Edit: I was looking for this post, but apparently it was deleted . . . Here's a diagram I did for a guy looking to use 16 castings on an 18. You can see how much different they are. ![]() |

Now with that out of the way should I buy a set of adjustable rudder castings or should I just get mine redone? |

Adjustable castings can make setting up the rake easier and easier to maintain a tight fit to the cam which holds the rudder all the way down... but, you can achieve correct rake without them. I'd say, save the money for a new jib. |
