Yes, almost certainly. But those sails are whacked. Dirty, patched, blown out and going on 40 years old. They need to be retired - permanently. |

These are "Flamer" colors from around 1980-81. I have a set clean set and love the look. |

jim - i have a set of flamer sails that are sitting in my gargage from an 85' hobie. the sails are in good shape, bolt rope is is good as well as the cloth, no dirt spots or anything. i have not used these sails in the past 10 years. they have just been rolled up. if you are interestd in purchasing let me know. |

Also if a 77 Hobie 16 has been kept in reasonable condition then it should sail quite well. I Was at a Hobie university event and Jeff Alter was the guest expert, he kinda shocked a lot of hard core racers when he told them his family has 3 or so Hobie 16's where they live in Idaho and they are all 70's vintage 16's, and they have a ball sailing those boats. His point was you do not have to have a new boat to have a lot of fun. |
