Post subject:  BIG deck delam rapair help needed

My great ebay boat deal may not be so great. I started repairing a delam on the left hull using the instructions from this forum, but got frustrated by the amount of git rot I used, two pints! I ended up drilling two more holes fore and aft of the "middle" one just to get the epoxy to spread out faster. The deck is much firmer, but I still feel one little soft spot and may be hearing some other voids when tapped. Should I start punching holes every six inches all over this area and really try and fill the boat with epoxy? I hate to think what the non-skid area will look like with all these holes. :(

I had a similar problem, and just kept punching holes in. It wasnt the easiest thing to cover them back up when I was done, but was possible.

Hey thanks. Did you gelcoat over the holes? Or use paint? I'm going to have to paint the whole boat and I'm looking for tips on brands to use. I've been told that finding a paint that is slightly flexable is the best bet.
