I have the older style jib halyard and the plastic sheave on the part #11070000 downhaul block broke. I do not want to cut the wire halyard and re-swage it in order to replace it with an original block. Is the H167 Harken single w/swivel & becket bullet block (page 24 of the Fall 2011 Hobie catalog) strong enough as a replacement? It is rated at 300 lb SWL and 2000 lb Breaking Load. |

I wouldn't trust it. Better to use 099, wire bullet w/becket http://www.harkenstore.com/uniface.urd/ ... MEB9Y8UHKC Working load is 500 lb, breaking 2000 lbs. It's what I have used for an Aussie system. |
