Post subject:  Righting line on EBay

Hey All,
I'm in need of righting line for my hobie and am unsure what to buy. I found this on ebay and was wondering if anyone has tried these

BTW, i'm 6'3" 225# (not sre if you'll need this info to know if the righting line will work)
thanks for any advise.

I had one like that for years - used it all the time.

It was black, though. Red fades very quickly.

Misfit,

I am 6'3" and when I owned my H16 I was 235lbs. In most cases with the righting line you will be able to solo right your H16. Just make sure there is no water in the mast.

I'm 6'3", 215 lbs. and can't right my 16 alone. I don't think any righting line alone would make a difference.

I am just under 200 and I can get a H16 back up along in most cases, then again I have had a tremendous amount of practice, renting boats on the beach for 6 years, giving all those righting lessons before rentals!
