Post subject: | Jib Traveler Cheek Blocks |
I'm looking at piecing something like this together for my 16 this week. I'll probably head over to the local sailing shop during my lunch break tomorrow, since I prefer to buy local when possible. I already have the ronstan travelers on the boat, as well as the original swivels on the cross bar. Does anyone know the line lengths/diameters as well as the part number for the cheek blocks? I also notice two extra "horse shoes" in the photo, where are those placed? http://www.murrays.com/mm5/merchant.mvc ... gory_Code= |

I think I figured everything out, except for the cheek blocks. From what I can tell, it looks like most of the "kits" use the harken 092 http://www.harkenstore.com/uniface.urd/ ... MEB9Y8U9SW However the local shop only had one on the shelf.....so I came home with two of the 233s.. http://www.harkenstore.com/uniface.urd/ ... MEB9Y98P7W These should handle the load, right? They look to have the same load rating as the micro blocks on the jib clew. |
