Post subject:  Correct Placement of Hawaiian Righting?

I picked up one of these and of course there were no instructions.

Is this done correctly?

Line is run from stearn of one hull > outside tre shroud then through a pully that was already attached to the inside of the front corner casting. The other side is done the same.

I attached the end of the shockcord with the pully to the rear center of the boat at the tramp. The righting line is of course run through the pully at the other end of the shockcord.

When either side of the righting line is pulled, the shockcord then stretches out the will return the line.

Is this the correct way to run this system. In the package there was on additional pully so Im not sure.

Thanks

Attach the righting line to one stern. Run it outside of the rear pylon and shroud. Put a block on the line, wrap around the front pylons and take it outside of the other shroud and pylon. Secure it to the stern of the other hull leaving enough slack so the line between the front pylons will reach to about a foot forward of the rear crossbar.

Take a small piece of line and tie a block to it. Tie the line to the middle of the lacing in the rear of the boat. Secure a bungee to the dolphin striker, run it through the block attached to the lacing and secure it to the block on the righting line. Adjust lengths so nothing sags or drags in the water.
