Post subject: | Sand Job |
This may have already been asked, but, the previous owner of my H16 has done what I would call a "sand job" on one of the hulls (added sand to some kind of finish) on the starbord hull deck. I think they did this to hide a delam fix. The more I look at it the less I like it. So, if I were sand/scrape down the hull deck to a smooth finish is there some material that can be used to get a nice looking non-slip deck finish? What have you all done in the past? Thanks Sam |

Itnerlux and other marine paint suppliers have product which is added to the paint to provide a non-skid surface. It is a "sandy" type product. Another option is to use sticky back non-skid. There are many products out there for this. check out this web site for and do a seach for "non-skid": www.practical-sailor.com. They review products for sail boats. |
