Hi everyone.
I have a Hobie 16 that I've been sailing for around 5 years and now I'd like to sell it due to having no time.
However I can't find any information on my particular model anywhere! Not even the mighty Google knows a thing about my boat
Because of this I can't value it.
So does anyone here know anything about a limited edition Hobie 16 "Star Lights" from around 1990.
Here's a pic:

Thanks

Not something I believe Hobie Cat did. Maybe custom graphics by a dealer or owner.

A Hobie 16 is a Hobie 16... graphics don't make it more expensive.

Your decals look like they have been cut from 'glow in the dark' vinyl. I have seen the glow in the dark vinyl used on boats in a Christmas parade before.

Ok, it may well have been the dealer. Thanks for ye're help. What kind of price should I ask for it? With road and launch trailers. Everything in good condition but could do with a clean. I have the original documentation that came with it.

Interesting find as I note the hull stripe decals are the same colours.

Hello,
I also have a HC16 Star Lights from 1986.
I am in France in La Rochelle
I bought it 10 years ago and I recently found the same boat as mine near Toulouse.
I really like the unique style of this boat with its blue gradient sails and yellow stars.
As I sail a lot with it and it’s more than 30 years old, the sails wear out ...
I wish I could find the same sails that would not have used too much, but it seems almost impossible.
If you have some ideas or good opportunities, I’ll be very interested in.
I renovated the hulls 2 years ago and changed the side deco strips
Good sailing at all
Laurent
