Hey guys, take a look at this 16 and tell me what you think:

Points of consideration:

- 1982
- No trampoline
- One soft spot on top of the left hull in front of the pylon, about 10" x 4"
- One scratch that goes into the fiberglass but does not penetrate all the way through, about 4" x 1/2"
- Comes with all sails and rigging and mast, which are all in good shape.
- Comes with usable trailer and title

What price tag would you put on this? And at what price would you consider it a good deal?

If the sails are decent then $300 for all. If not, walk away.

Yeah, really. I'll haul it away for free.

The trailer is worth 300. The boat isn't worth much.

All depends on where you are.

That is the definition of a project boat there.
Plan on...

New Tramp
Standing Rigging
Running Rigging
Hours of epoxy fun
and at least a few hundred more bucks tossed its way before you sail.
It is fun to save old hobie cats and give em a new life though!

Not sure I even see $300 in the trailer! Looks kind of cobbled and rusty. Parts boat at best. If you're looking to sail it, think I'd walk away. Bridle wire has some ugly bends to it ,too- likely enough to separate the strands. What's the second pic? Sure looks like a hole to me.

In my area, for far less than the money and time you'd need to put into that, you could get a decent boat in sailable shape.

pass on this one unless the boat will be used for spare parts maybe 100 bucks

Usually you should pay a little more for a good boat that sails when you get it home
Keep looking around there are good boats out there
