Can anyone give me the tramp (top of rear frame) to water line distance with approx 350 lbs onboard?
Thnx

It depends on where the 350 lbs is located on the boat. If it's all in the back, then the distance between the crossbar and the water will be pretty small.

It also depends on the waves and wind. It's not a static measurement at all.

So somewhere between zero and eight feet?

From the top of the rear crossbar it's about 11" to the hull lip and 23" to the bottom of the hull. With two people on the boat, positioned typically, static, I'd guess it's probably about 14".

That narrows it down. :?

Flat water, weight evenly distributed front to back on the tramp.

Thanks Anton.....I should have been more specific, an approximation @ static is what I needed.

Perfect, thanks Anton

You're welcome. Just remember that in use this dimension is meaningless. For me, it would be constantly varying from 10 to 25 or more, and then you have the heel of the boat on top of that.

Sorry about that.. not trying to be a jerk, just that when sailing a Hobie 16 that zero to 8ft is probably closer to the truth than any static measurement, as sitting still in flat water with no wind isn't something I try and do very often.

Why ya asking?
