Sebring... nice vid... i watched your other vid... when you were single handed and notice how easy it was for you to right your boat... just wondering your steps ... and weight???? I'm about 155 in full gear and struggle when i'm solo.... did i see you use a shroud extender??? Thanks .... a little bit of ocean fun... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k-nYWRz3Ag |

Waldorf, my steps for solo righting are to loosen up the sheets, pop the quick release for the shroud extender, stand on the bow to help point upwind, this is to get air under the sails, then grab the righting line and pull. sometimes if I'm tired I'll hook the righting line to my trapeze harness and lean back. I'm about 190 in my gear |

Thanks for the info... this gives me inspiration to keep trying... Do you have any problems pulling the pin for the shroud extender... or getting it back in??? With the shroud extended have you ever been caught on the opposite tack??? |

Waldorf: Do you have any problems pulling the pin for the shroud extender It can be a little hard to reach due to the 8 foot beam, but you can stand on the dolphin striker and reach it pretty easily... or getting it back in??? Pretty easy to put back in, just maneuver so the shroud is slack and hook it back up With the shroud extended have you ever been caught on the opposite tack???Of course, but no big deal just tack or jibe the other way |

Sebring.. at what point in the video do you pull the pin??? I can get to the pin ... but when the shroud is under tension i find it difficult to pull it out. Thanks for your patience. |

Here's another video. The sheets are already loose and I just climbed back up on the hull. Shows me pulling the pin on the shroud extender... I guess this is what you are asking??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXX-6sW0mtA |

Sebring... Thanks for the new vid... couldn't see you pull the pin in the other one.... I hope to sail a few times this winter... but will try and keep both hulls in the water till spring, then test my shroud extenders again then... If i know i can right the boat myself i will be able to sail harder single handed... Thanks again... Waldorf... |
