![]() Notice the "aparatus" holding the forestay off the luff and sail? How did they do that? Is it worth it? |

its a piece of shock cord, we add to keep the forestay from being lose and messing up the jib. I think it is worth doing. |

OK, I'm with you on the shock cord to pull tension on the forestay. How is this done? What's that 6" or so piece perpindicular to the sail? |

It looks like they have added and extra 7 or 10 hole adjuster, we use to do this on older boat before that made the forestay longer, some people still do it to give a little more length simply so they can have a little extra to shock cord back down. The stock forestay is long enough but its hard to get it pulled back off the sail. |
