Post subject: | Supports when working on hulls |
Hi guys I need to do some work to the bottoms of my hulls - filling a few holes and repairing the gel coat. I guess it'll be upside down for about a month. What the best things to put under it? old car tyres, foam insulation... I'm just a bit concerned that I might end up damaging the top of the hulls if they're not to strong. What does everyone else use? All the best, Andrew |

I'm not intending to dismantle the whole boat - just flip it over. Are the tops of the hulls strong enough to hold for about a month if I just stick some insulation under them? |

The tops of the hulls are plenty strong. But if you're keeping the whole boat together, then just flip it over and put a 4x4 under each corner of the tramp frame. The hulls won't even touch the ground. sm |
