Post subject: | Hull distance measurement question |
I'm converting an old power boat trailer to a hobie trailer for my H16. I don't have access to the boat however. Does anyone know the the exact distance in inches from the bottom of one hull to the other? I'm making some supports for the trailer and I'd like them to be nice and snug. Without that exact measurement it's just a guess. Check out the diagram below. thanks for any help Matt ![]() |

That's a great point, Banzilla. Three weeks ago, I had none of this information. What prompted me to take measurements was the desire to put cradles on my cat-trax. At the very foremost part of the bow, this dimension is 6' 9" (six feet nine inches). At a point about 1/4 of the boat length back (approximately four feet) from the foremost point of the bow, it widens to a distance of 7' 2" (which is still not the deepest point of the hull) and remains at that measurement all the way to the stern. Matt, I hope everything works out alright for you. Let us know how it goes. Great point Banzilla. Happy Sailing, David |
