I don't know when, but originally sailboats didn't need registration by the state in New Hampshire. It was changes sometime around 1990, I think, as a way to enhance revenue for the state. So before 1990, a boat sold in NH only had a sales receipt and maybe the warranty cards. Even after that date, I have my doubts that older boats that had been registered after 1990 but have not been registered for several years are still maintained by the State. Jim Clark-Dawe |
