Is there a replacement for this? Or do I need to buy the whole cable? The pulley wheel is broken.

Hmm cool guess I could use a 90 twist shackle to attach a new one. Thanks for link I would of been googling a while to find that puppy :) also wasn't sure if there was a replacement with a pin instead of rivet. (Doesn't look like it)

The block depends on the rivets for structural integrity.

You could cut off / re-swage the wire. That would only shorten it by about 3 inches. Or use a shackle. Or just ditch the whole thing and go to an Aussie system :-)

With Mbounds suggestion regarding Aussie system.

I personally like the Aussie Jib even though one has to tuck away a lot of the halyard though it one can employ a thinner halyard rope made from say dyneema or similar.

I'm leaning towards the Aussie setup. That's about the only thing I have not upgraded on my old boat. Might as well lol.
