We haven't gone to see it yet since it is a 3 hour trip each way but here is the description: Garage kept , have everything to start enjoying sailing now, solid hulls, black hi-performance racing rudders with new gudgeons and pins precision cut, multi color sails w down rigging all harken , hawaiin trapeze for re=righting when flying the hull all new wire and lines two hiking lines w harnesses , new tiller bad arse boat and trailer ready to make trips to the keys.. Does this seem like a reasonable price? Thanks in advance! |

Sounds good to me , if the trailer is good and can make the trip home |

It all depends on the condition of the hulls (softspots, beat up, etc). Spend some time looking on TheBeachcats, Craigslist or similar to get a feel. Also, look at the cost of replacement parts, and when inspecting the boat, think of what needs to be replaced. Standing rigging is a must replace. Are the sails in adequate shape? Do the rudders work correctly, or do they need replacement? |

Some of the stuff in the description don't make sense: Garage kept , have everything to start enjoying sailing now, solid hulls, black hi-performance racing rudders with new gudgeons and pins precision cut What does "precision cut" mean?, multi color sails w down rigging What is "down rigging?" all harken , hawaiin trapeze for re=righting when flying the hull I assume they are talking about a Hawaiian righting system for when you capsize. all new wire and lines two hiking lines w harnesses Hiking lines? , new tiller bad arse boat and trailer ready to make trips to the keys. Without photos, it's impossible to determine the value, but the language in the ad sets off some alarm bells. Someone doesn't really know what they're talking about. |
