Hi, all. I've recently purchased an '82 Hobie 16 with no decals. I'm looking for the best place to find genuine Hobie decals and would love your input. |

I recently purchased replacements from West Coast Sailing. The Hobie PNs are as follows: 13440010 - the orange danger label on the mast 13440000 - the silver label with the black band, also on the mast On my '02 there was also a decal on the front crossbar, but Hobie told West Coast Sailing they no longer make / use that decal. I too have a new to me hobie that I replaced some decals and graphics on to freshen it up. I looked at hobie.com for part numbers of what i was looking for and have had good buying experiences from these online sellers. You can always order the decals from your local Hobie dealer, if you have one. Good to help keep the dealers open. http://www.backyardboats.com https://www.westcoastsailing.net https://www.murrays.com https://www.saltydogmarine.com For registration numbers I found these guys to do good work and fair price. https://boatletteringtoyou.com Good luck! An original '82 would have nothing more than a hull stripe and the outline "Hobie Cat" decal on the stern quarter. There were a few different hull stripes being used then, depending on the sail patterns. Carumba and Cat Fever had their own "rainbow" stripes and there was a solid color "triple stripe" that had been used since the late '70s. You could order the latest graphics package and make people think it was a new boat - at least from a distance. ![]() |
