I would strongly recommend that you watch Matt Miller's Hobie 16 Set Up video. It can be found on you tube and contains a wealth of information. |

Thank you, But those videos even very helpful are not rich in details. I have a lot of doubts. I really would like to spend time with someone to teach me. |

Here's a link to a map showing the Jersey Shore area and the respective Hobie fleets with contact information -- https://www.easymapmaker.com/map/331a67 ... 95ac85b486 Fleet 137 is based on Lake Hopatcong and the Commodore of the Fleet is Todd Walters with a phone number of 973-945-4356 and an email of [email protected]. Contacting your local Hobie fleet is often the best way to find someone to help you. Jim Clark-Dawe |

Tood Stevens is the owner of Sunset Sailboats on lake Hopatcong. He could possibly help you out. I would suggest you call his shop first though. I live at the shore near Belmar and could potentially also help you out, but don’t have a lot of free time. Our fleet has a regatta on Barnegat Bay July 21/22 where there would be people around to help you out (not to mention sail with). Fleet 250 is also a potential option. They are located on Sandy Hook Bay and are a large catamaran club with a plot of land on the bay in Atlantic Highlands and an active membership. PM me if you need more info. sm |
