Post subject:  Travelcar fit & hull weights

Our 1984 hobie is apart for glueing, it is a redline boat, however hulls have been painted white. One hull weighs 84# , the other weigh 85#. Could this be due to paint?...edit, I just read a post from M.Miller that hobie at one point added lead inside pylons to target 340 min weight rules before they went to 320.

Replacing travel car while boat is apart, bought a #105 car with stainless rollers, it is not fitting into rail
When compared to original car there is more material between top of rollers & bottom of car on the new one.

The vertical opening on rail is 1.034 - 1.053 & the new car is 1.06 -1.08
The rail does not seem to be damaged

Can .02 be taken off the bottom of the new car?
