Post subject:  Hull storage in garage

I did search but didn't find any mention of this - has anyone found an option for storing the hulls in the garage on something similar to the U-shaped kayak hangers?

I bought a H16 that I plan to disassemble and spruce up this winter. If I could hang the hulls out of the way on the wall it would be ideal. I have seen some hangers that have a 200 lb. weight limit but I don't think they are quite wide enough for a hull. If I can't make this work I will make a simple stand out of 2x4's.

With the flat hull side against the wall, you don't need much of a brace to set them on. You'll need some good straps to hold them against the wall. I used seat belts, but cam straps would be fine. I had some 1"x4" bolted on either side of the stud.
They didn't need to extend very far out. 2 of these for each hull. each hull is 80lbs max

I just built something out of construction lumber at the same time I built shelves for my garage. I use the bottom shelf for part of the hull, but it's not necessary. The 4x4s alone in the first picture are completely overkill even for the heavy roto hulls.

Thanks. I will probably do some wood supports like that.
