Is there such a thing as too much rake on a 16 with a light crew? I sail solo most of the time, I'm 155 lbs and set my rake at 31". at this setting, I can just get block to block. Most of my sailing is in 8-12kts and this much rake allows me to power the boat down some and point a little higher. My rudders are raked forward with little pull on the tiller and I rig tight. I'd love to hear from others who solo their 16 and how they set their rig. Less rake equals more power, but do I need all that power at my weight?
