Hi, I'm having my H16 jib re-cut for furling. From what I can tell from searches, it seems like the luff length should be the same as the standard jib. Seems like we only need to trim the leach from head to tack, in a straight or slightly concave line, to prevent flapping. Anyone have a furling jib they can measure the luff for me, or know the answer? I would just buy a solid color furling jib from Hobie, (and I will be buying all the setup parts I need), but my 1985 Blue Ocean sails are still so beautiful and amazingly crisp, 35 years on! Thanks very much! Rambo |

Here is a link to a pic of a furler and a normal jib... i don't think the bottom has to be altered... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ur7yi9 ... sp=sharing i used my normal jib for a year before i cut it down and it worked quite well... i would wait and use your jib and see how you like it... |
