Found a 16 on a trailer today for $100.00. The tramp is trash but it has a straight mast that I needed, an aussie jib rig I didn't have, a carbon fiber adjustable tiller, and rake adjustable rudder castings. The white hulls seem solid, no soft spots. No sails though. There are black rudders that really are white but the whole boat is growing! There is red soldier moss on the neoprene and lychen growing on the hulls. The trailer has a winch to raise the mast and brand new tires/ rims. I now have an '82 16, an '83 16 and an '84 14 turbo. I most likely will steal the mast and aussie rig for the yellow one. Then put the 14 on the trailer. I don't know what I will do with this 16 yet. |
