Is there a way to renew lines that are a few years old and getting a little musty/salty? Could they be removed and put in the washer with some fabric softener or will that ruin them? Going to do a thorough cleaning and install a new trampoline in the next couple weeks. Ordered some lines from Hobie for that, but the old lines are only about 4 years old, but spent some time in salt water, but could be reused or repurposed if they can be renewed. |

Maybe put them in a mesh bag and toss that in the washer. I’d be concerned to just throw them directly into the washer that they would end up in a huge knot tied around the agitator. I’ve always just taken dirty lines and put them in a 5 gallon bucket with some soap/detergent and swished them around with my hands. Seems to work good enough. sm |

SRM I do the same thing. % gallon bucket with laundry detergent and fabric softener. Swish it by hand, soak overnight and rinse. That usually gets the salt out. |
