Hi all! New member here. I picked up a 1978 Hobie 16 for a steal about a month ago and am coming along nicely with its restoration. The sails are in great condition with minimal wear/repairs and the trampoline (original I believe) is in good shape as well. Both hulls had some delamination and one had a questionable repair job that i will be tackling. So far i have completed one hull and am about to start the other, but i discovered that the front left corner casting was cracked and i need to either get a new one or a whole front rail (sorry the for most likely incorrect terminology). Where do you guys procure used parts typically? $215 for a corner casting would nearly double my investment here, so I’m hoping to grab a used one for cheap. Thanks all! I will try to post pictures if I can figure it out :)

I just asked the question recently, to see where everyone is getting used parts, but no replies. Ebay has some, but can't find anywhere else.

Look at beachcats site they have a classified section.

Also look on your local craigslist. I found a whole boat minus sails, ripped tramp on a trailer for $100.

Also try facebook marketplace.

I just so happen to have a late 70's hobie in my backyard that I'm parting out... I have a lot of hardware & I'm not afraid to sell it. Let me know what you're after. My email is the same as my profile name j*******wn@gmail
