I gave my daughter my '85 H-16 but she has not been able to use it much. Some one is interested in buying it and I am looking to advise her on a price. It is an '85 that I bought new with newer sails that I bought from someone whose boat had been destroyed in his yard. I believe the hulls are solid and don't leak. It has 6 to 1 blocks and a hot stick. Rudders are original. Cams have been replaced a few times. Trailer is in good condition. Most usage was in fresh water. We are in the Middle Atlantic area.

Any suggestions or opinions on value would be appreciated.

Value? Priceless. :)

You are looking at $15,000 new with a trailer I think... Resale price? Totally depends on the region, so I will await a response from someone more in your area.

Howard I am in Eastern PA, South Jersey. There is an 83, on a good trailer for sale here for $2500. It has almost new white sails from around 2005, otherwise a good old stock boat.
Hope that helps. It also depends on how many boats are for sale in your area.
Good luck.

Your best bet is to look on craigslist and facebook marketplace in your area. I have (4) hobie cats now and never spent more than $250.00 But I MIGHT be stingy with my money

It sounds to me like a boat like yours should bring between $1,000. and $2500. But as the other poster said, It depends on prices in your area. Are there any Hobie cat dealers in the area? If so I would talk to them

One thing also to consider are extras that may affect the price/value. Beach wheels, sail bag, sail storage on trailer, does the trailer have a spare tire, boat cover...etc, add value.
