If I want to keep the air holes off of the textured surface but the delamination extends beyond under the textured surface by an inch...will the Git rot still flow out to the edges? The area in question is 16 inches long X 8 inches wide right in front of the pylon. I was planning on going around the periphery with an air hole every 2 inches & two spru holes in center area about 4 inches apart... Does it need more air holes or is this enough? |

The resin is only going to flow between the holes, so if the delam extends under the non-skid, you will need holes in that area to ensure the epoxy fully saturates the area. GitRot is very thin, so the holes do not need to be large. If you mask off the area first and clean up any resin spills/overflow with acetone while it is still wet, the repair should not be too visible. You can also fill the holes in with gelcoat if you want them to be less visible. sm |

Thx, since the area is 16 x 8, would you suggest a second ring of air holes closer to the fill points as well as the periphery? |
