We had stormy weather coming through Sweden this weekend. Here's what happened to this poor Hobie cat when gusts of wind (up to 72 kn) hit the shore. It was sitting on land, mast down for the winter. It is the only Hobie cat at my local sail club and now it too has left the club (or at least the property). It forced its way through and over a small fence and ended up 40 yards away from where it was parked. https://photos.app.goo.gl/bDmrwoj1gHMBXHA3A |

Sorry to see that. Similar event happened to my about 10 years ago on Lake Ontario NY where my boat cart wheeled a few times due to high gusts. Luckily my mast only bent a little and I was able to fix it. After that I ended up burying an anchor in the sand to keep the boat tied to that. |

Sorry to see that happen. Someone else ended up with their H16 in a tree. Not sure if it is still on a trailer ![]() |

Well cats do like to sleep in trees in their native habitat right? |
