I have a newer style trampoline with an integrated track system (which I really like). I have older hulls. Should I be able to install this newer tramp system on the older hulls? |

I assume he's including the crossbars and rails in "tramp" so is asking if old hulls/pylons will work with newer corner castings. |

Yes, The castings might require grinding to fit, but you only really would need the forward and aft crossbar extrusions. They fit the old corner castings. https://www.hobie.com/parts-and-accesso ... p=0&is_v=1 |

Thank you for the replies. So, we have the newer trampoline frame with the integrated tracks in the crossbars. We mistakenly attempted to install this on older (1980 something) hulls (before reading this post answer about grinding). We sanded all of the castings and stanchions smooth and used marine grease to lubricate them. All went on easily for the first 1/2"+. So we thought it would fit. We gave each (alternating from corner casting to corner casting) some good taps with a dead-blow hammer, believing it would fit, and now it is totally stuck. And... it is not all the way down. Three moved about 1/2 way down and the back port casting went all the way down (I can see through the bolt hole). So: A) it is totally stuck. We have tried numerous things to get it off (including a jack) and it does not budge. B) If we ever do get it off, where would I grind it so it will fit properly? |
