A previous owner of my 16 painted the hulls. It's starting to flake off. Step 1 of my hull restoration project is to get all the paint off. Does anyone have any specific suggestions on how? I was just going to sand it all off with my 5" random orbital sander but don't even know what ballpark of grit to use. I really don't want to do more harm than good. I have a long fun winter project ahead of me. Thanks in advance! |

What are you planning to do after the paint is off? Shoot with gelcoat or try to restore the original gelcoat? sm |

Lay down some fiber glass on the keel. Other smaller repairs. Prime. Paint. |
