Hello folks, This is my first post, but I've been sailing Hobie 16s and 14s since the eighties. Looking forward to posting and reading a lot here as I get back into it after a hiatus! I pieced together a really lovely H16 last summer (Covid Project!) so I could have it ready to put in the water this spring. Reconditioned Carumba sails, solid tarp, new lines, etc, etc. Last week a tree fell squarely on the entire rig. It bent the mast and part of the frame. (The trailer and front crossmember might also be toast, dunno yet). The boat is in Northern Michigan, but I'm in Brooklyn NY. I'm looking for a replacement somewhere along this route (https://goo.gl/maps/QcjGiirA44McUp936) preferably closer to my destination in MI. I'm willing to take donations or pay fair prices for parts. Thanks! Dan |

Dan, That sux. I don't have any part to give you but I've been keeping an eye on the marketplace and if you scour Craigslist, you might be able to score a whole donor boat for a couple hundred. Good luck and let us know how you make out. -Daniel |
