I have this cat that has no sail gear and I want to put a 9.9 HP outboard on the back and turn it into a light pontoon boat for up to 2 people with overnight capacity. Ideas? One specific one is should I add two 55 gallon plastic drums toward the back to support the motor and a bit more weight? My thot is to build a build a lightweight deck on top and put a couple of vinyl bucket seats from a wrecked car on that with steering with a tiller like it used to have, a canopy top, a couple of hammocks to put up front, between the pontoons for sleeping/napping. Thanks for the ideas. |
