Post subject: | Replacing rudder cams and plunger. |
Hi, I've always had problems with my rudder cams sticking in the wrong position and not wanting to go to the down position. This weekend I finally broke the rubber tooth off of the cam so i'm at very least going to have to replace the cam. How is this done? It appears that the cam is riveted to the casting so i'm not really sure how to fix this. Also, is there something I can do to make the plungers move more freely? Should I just replace the plunger? I really don't weant to get too in depth with a repair cause i'm going to cape hatteras with sea bass this friday but I do want her to sail properly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Cory |
